  • 7 December: Pop-up Art & Design Exhibition at the Lithuanian Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels

  • 24 November – 31 December: Online art & design gallery

PARTICIPATION TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

I. Application

 

  1. A creator who wishes to participate in the Project ("Participant") registers before 17 November, 2017 by sending an application form to the e-mail address: desarts@womenat.com.

  2. The Organiser will decide whether to accept the application form if it is submitted after 17 November, 2017.

  3. These Terms & Conditions provide general information about the participation in the Project. The rights and obligations of the Participant are further specified in the application form.

 

II. Participation fees

 

  1. There is no registration fee.

  2. There is no charge for the Exhibition venue.

III. Key services

 

The Organisers provide the Exhibition space for the entire period of the Exhibition, taking into account the size and the quantity of the exhibited creative works.

The Organisers also provide the following services:

  • Exhibition Communication Campaign, including via W@ website and social media;

  • Create and administer the Online Gallery;

  • Send invitations to target audience, including international W@ professional community (lawyers, politicians, officials of EU institutions and international organisations etc); Brussels art and design community (representatives of galleries and design stores); Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian communities in Brussels.

 

IV. Participation at the Exhibition

 

  1. A Participant shall cover her own expenses in relation to participation at the Exhibition.

  2. A Participant can access the Exhibition venue as of 09:00 AM on 7 December, 2017 through the main entrance of the Lithuanian Permanent Representation to the EU. The Organisers will provide further details closer to the date.

  3. A Participant may decide not to attend the Exhibition in person and ship her exhibits at her own expense to the Organisers by courier. In that case, the parcel must be insured prior to delivery to the Organisers.

  4. The Organisers will be responsible for exhibiting creative works of the Participant upon receipt of the parcel.

  5. The Organisers shall take care of shipping back to the Participant her creative works within 24 hours after the Exhibition. The parcel will be insured.

  6. Participants who cannot participate at the Exhibition may exhibit their works in the Online Gallery according to the terms and conditions set out in Section VII and the application form.

 

V. Transportation of exhibits and customs

 

  1. The Participant shall transport and unload her exhibits at her own expense.

  2. The Participant shall be responsible for compliance with Belgian rules on customs.

 

VI. Sale of exhibited works

  1. All creative works exhibited at the Exhibition will also be exhibited in the Online Gallery that will run from 24 November until 31 December 2017.

  2. The Participant of the Exhibition can exhibit her other creative works in the Online Gallery ie also those works that will not be exhibited at the Exhibition.

  3. Visitors of the Online Gallery will be able to purchase exhibited works electronically.

  4. A 15% commission fee for each creative work sold in the Online Gallery will be dedicated to develop a platform for women creators.

  5. In order to exhibit in the Online Gallery, the Participant shall send to the Organisers the following information by 20 November:

  6. Participant’s name and/or her label and logo (where applicable);

  7. Contact details the Participant agrees to publish in the Online Gallery;

  8. The list of creative works the Participant wishes to sell, their technical specifications and photos.

  9. It is not allowed to sell creative works during the Exhibition at the Lithuanian Permanent Representation to the EU.

VII. Safety

Organisers shall ensure the general safety of the Exhibition area, but will not be liable for the safety of Participants’ personal belongings and exhibits, save for the circumstances set out in Section IV.4. Participants undertake to ensure the safety of her exhibits and personal belongings.
