W@Competition Talks: Cartel Settlement

The discussion will focus on the role of the EU settlement procedure as a cartel enforcement tool.

 

Ms. Maria Jaspers, Head of Unit, DG Competition and Ms. Clio Angeli, Senior Associate, Norton Rose Fulbright LLP will give a joint presentation on the most recent developments in the EU cartel settlement procedure.

The discussion will focus in particular on the role of the settlement procedure as part of the European Commission enforcement toolkit and the considerations taken into account by the Commission.

The event is held together with WiN - Women in Norton Rose Fulbright, Brussels.

 

The speakers will also discuss the pros and cons considered by the parties when weighting whether or not they should settle.

'30 in their 30s' Notable Women Competition Professionals - Announcement & Celebration Reception

February 15, 2017

Names of 30 Notable Women Competition Professionals were revealed on 16 February.

The survey features 30 outstanding professionals aged between 30 and 40 in the competition field in four categories:

Several hundreds of women competition professionals were nominated for this list via a simple online form on W@ website. To be considered in the next stage of the project, they were all invited to fill in a short questionnaire. Their anonymised responses were reviewed by an independent jury of three experienced competition professionals for each category. Jury members were not aware of who other jury members were / their identity was not disclosed until they submitted their most preferred 30 nominee response selection to W@Competition team.  Peer feedback was also invoked in the last stage of the selection process.

The project was carried out in partnership with PaRR Global.
