Partner at law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. She specialises in litigation and has particular expertise in follow-on damages litigation. She has worked on cases such as the ones following the alleged aircargo- and paraffin wax cartels and currently represents TenneT and DAF Trucks in proceedings following the GIS-cartel and trucks infringement. Machteld publishes and lectures on Dutch procedural law. She also heads De Brauw's Pro Bono Committee.
