Prof. Dr. Petra Pohlmann

Professor at the University of Münster (Faculty of Law) where she holds a chair for civil law, business law and civil procedure. She is a director of the Institute of International Business Law and the Executive Director of the Research Centre for Insurance Law at the University of Münster. Prior to this she was a civil law professor at the University of Düsseldorf. She is the author and editor of several publications on competition law, insurance law, and civil procedure. In 1998 to 2013 she served as a part-time judge at the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court. Prof. Pohlmann has also been a member of the Insurance Advisory Board at the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority. She is also an editor of the Frankfurter Kommentar zum Kartellrecht (Frankfurt Commentary on Antitrust Law) and the Wirtschaft und Wettbewerb (Business and Competition) journal.
